Cancer is a pretty general term, meaning that some cells in your dog’s body aren’t behaving normally, and they are growing and forming a tumor that infiltrates surrounding tissue, destroying it. In addition, tumors are able to form metastases, spread by blood and lymphatic vessels to distant parts of the body and creating new centers of tumor growth. Staging means the identification how far the tumor process has gone.
